Wainuiomata High School Programme

Duration: 13 nights homestay accomodation.
Location: Wainuiomata High School, Wellington, New Zealand.

Day 01: Arrive Wellington Airport afternoon. Introduction to Home-stay Families.
Pick Up and Transfer to Home-stay Family.

Day 02: Pōwhiri (traditional Maori welcome ceremony) Introduction to New Zealand School Life.
Allocation of Integration Classes. Get to know your buddy.

Day 03: Esol Class. Group 1 Horse Riding, Seal Colony, Beach Exploration. Remainder Integration students
includes Wood Working, Cooking Class.

Day 04: Esol Class. Group 2 Horse Riding, Seal Colony, Beach Exploration Remainder Integration students
includes Wood Working, Cooking Class.

Day 05: Esol Class. Group 3 Horse Riding, Seal Colony, Beach Exploration. Remainder Integration students
includes Wood Working, Cooking Class.

Day 06: School Day. International Students make their mark by placing their hand palm in paint on the school
wall as a permanent imprint. A New Zealand Story, Country, Culture, Custom and differences.

Day 07: Home Stay Family Activities. Shopping, Scenery Tours etc.

Day 08: Home Stay Family Activities. Shopping, Scenery Tours etc.

Day 09: Group 1, National Museum, Zealandia Native Sanctuary, Cable Car Remainder School Activities.

Day 10: Group 2, National Museum, Zealandia Native Sanctuary, Cable Car Remainder School Activities.

Day 11: Remutaka-Orongorongo Forest Park Bush Walk.
Taking cut lunch and experience the real ‘outdoors’ in pristine New Zealand Forest.

Day 12: School Activities. Farewell with Home Stay Families.

Day 13: Final Goodbye and Return to Wellington Airport. Check-In for return to China.

Camp Wainui NZ

Located at 203 Coast Road, Wainuiomata, the camp is less than 4km South of the town's shopping centre (with supermarket). And we are only 10km from Lower Hutt city center and hospital.

Remutaka Forest Park

Remutaka Forest Park is a recreational haven. We pass various picnicking spots and a campsite along the way until we reach a car park with its very own information shelter and maps.

Wainuiomata Waterpark

Coastal Views Horse Trek

Take a ride with Mac, Pete and the beautiful horses, you will enjoy spectacular views of the South Island and of the Wellington harbour and city.

Wainuiomata Beach

A long, unspoiled, rocky coastline stretched around remote farmland and bushland, with awe inspiring views over the cook straight and South Island.

East Harbour Regional Park

Explore the numerous tracks that climb from the park entrances through regenerating bush up to and along the forested ridges.

The Turakirae Head scientifi Reserve provides habitats for a variety of native birds and reptiles.
